So the other day I was at Kohl's corporate office and they were talking about a fundraiser they did for charity. I thought it sounded pretty fun, especially for places that have different departments. It was a "carnival" where each department was responsible for some creative way to raise money, anything they wanted and here is what the different departments came up with:1. WII Boxing tournaments, got to box against the top 4 execs on Wii machine someone brought in- people were paying upwards of 200 to box their boss2. International Food Sale - each person in the dept was responsible for bringing in a dish from a different country and they sold each item for 2 bucks each3. Tricycle races: Winning team won a 200 gift card that the dept. had pitched in as a prize. People paid 20 bucks each to race4. Silent Auction through email - the department bought tickets to a concert and other prizes. The concert tickets went for 260 bucks - it was an all day bidding warSo it sounded neat- thought I'd pass along the idea!
